Why proper cargo securement matters—and how to inspect your rig

Cargo that shifts or falls can create a serious road hazard. This guide gives commercial drivers and fleet operators a practical starting point for reviewing a load, securement equipment, and visible vehicle attachment points before travel. It does not replace the current federal rules, commodity-specific requirements, or your carrier's procedures.
