What can cause a diesel engine to crank but not start?

No fuel at the heads, a dead cam sensor, a failed IPR circuit, or injectors that never fire. We test pressure and sync before stacking injectors.

Why is my Ford F-250 cranking but not starting?

On a 7.3 Power Stroke, check lift-pump pressure, CPS sync and whether the PCM commands injectors. Gas-engine starter advice does not apply.

What are the symptoms of a PCM failure on a 7.3 Power Stroke?

No injector pulse with good fuel pressure and a known-good CPS is the pattern we look for. We do not condemn the computer first.

My 2000 7.3 cranks but will not start. What should I check?

Oil in the HPOP reservoir, CPS signal, and injector pulse. Bring the truck to 24175 Industrial Park Dr rather than guessing injectors.
